Throughout the my time of taking pictures, I’ve had many images that I found breathtaking to look at, but only one picture really made me think and smile. I took this image on December 23rd, 2014 in the middle of Times Square in New York City. Every time I look at this photograph I love to think about how much of a story falls behind it. Not only is there flashing billboards and thousands of busy people and tourists there, but New York is a central beacon of hope and new beginnings for all those who dare. New York City is home to some of the most creative and brilliant people in the whole world and an image can only do so much justice for that. I love that this picture was taken at night so you can see the lights and silhouettes of the people around me as I took this and how the New York City really doesn’t sleep. It is also one of my favorite pictures because I got to travel to take this and made the experience of taking a picture to another level. I feel as though this picture and New York City itself really inspires myself and others to chase their dreams and keep on fighting for what they believe in. Although pictures might only go so far for some, this picture really embodies hope for the future and my lifelong dream of living in New York one day and doing the things I love.
