Montana is no stranger to Conway Productions Inc., as we were blessed to have her as part of our team throughout her High School Years. We've always been proud of her photographer and fashion skills. In 2014 Montana won the Wearable Art Design Competition at the 4th Annual Winter Showcase, with good reason. Her dress was outstanding!!
We absolutely love the next levels she's taken with her ambitions in fashion. You can read about them below from her page in Issue 2: The Fashion Issue of Inspiring Teens Magazine.
Article by Maria Corr from an interview with Montana:
Kent State University freshman, Montana Moyer, is following her passion and studying Fashion Merchandising in college after years of hoping to do so. She explains where her she draws her inspiration from, and shares her future aspirations.
Even as a young girl, Montana loved “picking out outfits and putting together outfits for other people.” She found comfort and joy in the ability that fashion gave her to express her true self: “I’ve always been able to show how I’m feeling on the inside by expressing it in the way I dress.” This form of self-expression inspired her to study fashion in hopes of one day making a career out of it.
Montana says that overall, the reason she chose to pursue an education in fashion is “because it is something [she] has always loved,” and trusts that it will be a career where she will “always love going to work.” She believes that there is “truly a timeless beauty fashion holds,” and has been motivated to “learn about how fashion has evolved throughout the decades” in order to fully understand what peoples’ fashion sense says about them.
As a freshman in college, Montana admits that her biggest struggle is time management; she finds the most difficulty in finding a balance in life while “juggling homework, studying, and internships, but still have time to nap and (hopefully) watch some Netflix.” Despite her struggles adjusting to the demands of college life, however, knowing what she wants to do in the future, and having a true passion for her studies surely act as motivating factors in school.
Although she is not entirely sure of where her studies will take her, or of exactly what she aspires to do in the fashion industry just yet, Montana hopes to “be able to live in New York City and possibly become a retail buyer for some sort of large corporation such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, or Barney’s” in the Big Apple. Her biggest goal is to someday own a photography business where she could photograph high fashion models for magazines.
